About Me

 I, Dr. Cheryl Stella C. Okoli, DHA, MSN, BSN ⭐, have over 20 years of combined health care experience in acute care, operating room, academia, community, and long-term care. I have had various roles at the front-lines and as a research assistant, nursing practice instructor, advance practice nurse (clinical nurse specialist), director, and as a consultant.

I am very happy and humbled to have been a recipient of King Charles' III Coronation Medal in 2025.

Furthermore, I  am passionate about health care administration and acquired my doctorate in health administration (please see experience to date and qualifications on the Resume tab) from A.T. Still University. The title of my dissertation was "The Phenomenon of the Negative Outcomes of Destructive Conflict in Home Care Management in Alberta, Canada."

 I am honoured and humbled to have been elected in 2023 as a Board of Director for the West of the ACHE Canada (formerly the Canadian Chapter of the American College of Health Care Executives). I have served/serve on the DEI Working Group and two committees (The Policy and Procedure Refresh Working Group and the Audit Committee) and the Chair of the Audit Committee (as of October 2024) of the ACHE Canada. 

I am interested in implementing innovative health care models that are evidence-based to meet population health needs of interest and one such current population is health care providers experiencing burnout and more at Renata Wellness and Recreation Retreat

WHAT

I'm a doctor for your health administration needs, pun intended as I do have a Doctorate in Health Administration :) . Are you, an executive/administrator/an overseer concerned about the "health" of your organization? I can help you diagnose, recommend, and assist you in treating  your administration "ailments" using appropriate evidence-based frameworks.  My business has two arms:

1) Administrative: The administrative arm covers consultation services reIated to organizational development such as strategic management, change management, risk management, quality improvement, and policy/standard/educational reviews  for all levels of an organization.

*Conflict Education: I also provide personal conflict coaching and mentoring services using a bio/social/cultural/psycho/spiritual approach. In addition, I deliver/offer conflict resolution workshops.

WHY: MESSAGE BEHIND THE NAME

I chose the business name: “Shalom: Eagle’s Wings” because I want to empower you to live peacefully with the informed decision you’ve made concerning organizational productivity enhancement (for my organizational development and coaching services) and  in my clinical consultation. Yes, uterine fibroid management, is a special niche for women health services  but please note that I take a holistic view in my clinical consultations all adults and seniors  (yes, that includes men as well!). I want you to transcend above that which you cannot control like an eagle; have a safe environment to share your story, and receive guidance in a nurturing environment. Shalom does not only mean peace, but wholeness as well! Do you not want a peaceful and whole workplace/life? :)
